A pair of Royal Worcester gilt-metal-mounted circular turquoise-glazed terracotta plaques
moulded in high relief with Bacchus and Ariadne with Pan and Faun in attendance, enriched in gilding, impressed marks, one with incised numerals, circa 1865 (minor crack to Ariadne, minor rim chips) -- 25.5cm. diam., the gilt-metal frames cast with bands of stiff leaves and surmounted by satyr masks suspended from bows See illustration (2)
