A needlework picture, worked in coloured silks and purl with seed pearl and bead details with the Banquet of Herod, Salome dancing on one side of Herod, a woman playing a lute behind, and also handing Herodias the head of John the Baptist on a plate to the other side, the rest of the field with a castle, creatures and flowers--21.5 x 24in.
