A three quarter length tunic of cherry red velvet, slit at the front of the neck and fastening with lacing, the long sleeves fastening at the cuffs with glass beads, stencilled in gilt with six rectangular panels around the skirt infilled with stylised interlocking foliate patterns, with two matching panels on the front of the bodice and two belts, labelled Mariano Fortuny, Venise, circa 1910-20
