Lot Essay

S. & J. Fuller, stationers and booksellers, were known as one of the earliest publishers of paper toys. Their shop, the Temple of Fancy, was situated in Rathbone Place in London and produced a series of printed morality stories and toys from 1810 onwards. Examples of their work include The History and Adventures of Little Henry, Frank Feignwell's attempts to Amuse His Friends and Cinderella.
