Lot Essay

The No. 2 Beau Brownie was introduced in October 1930 and discontinued in 1933. The camera was styled by the American industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague with a two-tone enamelled geometric Art Deco design front panel. Five colours were available in black, blue, rose, green and tan, each with matching leatherette body covering. The green and rose models sold only in 1930 and 1931 and were not available in the United Kingdom although a maroon version was available.
