A rare stone-printed manuscript, folio, concerning the observatory at Mannheim (now Heidelberg), BESCHRIEBEN VON IHREM CURATOR DEMSTAATS - UND CABINETSTRATH KLÜBER, commissioned by Gottlieb Braun, 66 pages, consisting of one loose sheet with three illustrations of the observatory dated 1811, designed and drawn by G. de Tratteux and printed by K. Wagner at Karlsruhe, and 16 double sheets, printed on both sides with an introduction, description and history of the observatory, various architectural details and an inventory of instruments, further with biographical information regarding the various astronomers who worked there: Christian Mayer, Johann Metzger, Carl König, Johann Nepomuck Fischer, Peter Ungeschick, Roger Barry and Heinrich Henry (some wear to edges)
