A 13¾-inch (35cm.) diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees in both directions, the prime meridian running through Iceland and graduated in degrees, the ecliptic graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with sigils, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes and submarine cable lines, the continents with nation states outlined in orange or green and showing rivers, mountains, towns and cities (general light rubbing and discolouration) with stamped brass hour dial and meridian, the papered octagonal horizon graduated in degrees, days of the houses of the Zodiac with pictures and sigils and a two-faced head between each, days of the month and with wind directions, the corners with various decorative figures, raised on an elaborate and decorative carved gilt-wood stand with four quadrant supports, central tulip-shaped meridian support and three hipped legs terminating in lion's paw feet -- 27in. 68.5cm.) high
