A rare Steiff Somersaulting teddy bear
with pale blond mohair, pronounced clipped muzzle, black horizontally stitched nose, black stitched mouth and claws, boot button eyes, swivel head, jointed legs and clockwork rotating arm action causing the bear to tumble, button in ear and remains of white tag --11½in. (29cm.) high, circa 1908 (three pads recovered, some slight wear, dusty)
