A Group of Post War Ambassador's Uniform
A dark-blue cloth coatee with black velvet collar and gauntlet cuffs, both edged with gold lace and bearing oakleaf sprays in gold embroidery, the cuffs traced with two rows of gold Russia braid below the edging lace, mounted gilt QEC Royal Arms buttons with Supporters; an evening dress coatee of lightweight material with black velvet collar and mounted buttons as on the Full Dress coat; companion dark blue waistcoat with three small buttons; a double-breasted blue mess-jacket with black velvet collar and buttons as on coatees; a tropical uniform of white drill, with buttons as on the blue uniforms, the collar bearing dark-blue tabs, each with an embroidered oakleaf spray and two rows of Russia braid; a similar white drill uniform (cuff-buttons missing); and a double-breasted white drill mess jacket (lacking all buttons) (lot) (7)
