A 'VENETIAN' ENAMELLED AMETHYST STANDING BOWL
Late 19th Century
Of dark tint, the bowl with everted folded rim and the underside moulded with radiating spokes with traces of gilding, enamelled in green, blue, white, ox-blood, black and gilt with pairs of heads in profile within shaped line cartouches alternating with cherub's heads amongst laurel swags reserved on a wide band of white dots and beneath a gilt border incised with stylized foliage, the high conical radially ribbed foot enriched with granular gilding and with upturned folded rim
