Circa 1640, the movement signed Vallier à Lyon
The oval white enamel case with polychrome champlevé enamel flowers, the dial similarly enamelled with Roman numerals on deep blue enamel band, the frosted gilt movement with brass balance wheel, no balance spring, decorative cock and foot secured by block in the top plate, steel ratchet with decorative steel spring, verge escapement, turned brass pillars (with restoration), with suspension ring
