The intaglios and miniatures 17th-18th Century, the remainder circa 1860
The white enamelled gold covers set with large oval agate intaglios, one of Diana and Acteon, the other of Venus and Cupid, within hexagonal and triangular banded grey agate panels and panelled agate spine, the hinged clasps similarly set, the interior with oval miniatures of the Virgin and Child and Saint Francis (?), within black enamel scrollwork, with suspension loops
