Half-title, double-page engraved title in French (imprint, Antwerp: Jacques van Meurs, dated 1658), 42 double-page engraved plates numbered 1-42, on guards, 20 anatomical plates of horses (12 printed in sepia), 7 engraved vignettes (one in sepia), and 5 engraved historiated initials (one in sepia), woodcut text diagrams. (Half-title creased, some browning, occasional light spotting in part two.) Contemporary speckled calf gilt (worn). Provenance: Sir Abraham Hume (bookplate).
