A painted grey pottery model of a bactrian camel
Tang Dynasty
standing four square on a rectangular base, facing forwards with its head raised wearing a saddle cloth on its back, the hair deeply incised around the humps, legs, head and neck, areas of red, yellow ochre and white pigments remaining -- 10½in. (27cms) high, (surface wear).
Thermoluminescence C100x29 consistent with the dating of this lot.
