A famille rose baluster vase
iron-red Qianlong seal mark, 19th Century
with short slightly everted neck and pierced foliate handles, painted and gilt with roundels depicting a fisherman in a boat before a retreat in a river landscape of willow and rockwork and a scholar crossing a bridge over a stream in a tree strewn landscape, all on a blue ground painted with clusters of tiny flowerheads -- 12¼in. (31cm.) high.
