A large pair of Cantonese famille rose, yellow-ground moon flasks
19th century
with moulded dragon handles, painted and gilt wtih roundels of warriors and dignitaries on foot and horseback in mountainous landscapes and exotic birds perched on rockwork amongst peonies and blossoming trees, all on yellow grounds reserved with scattered fruit and flower sprays within borders of lappets and ruyi motifs -- 20¾in. (52.5cms) high, (some minor areas of glaze flaking).
