4 parts in one volume, 2° (357 x 250mm). 1p. letterpress list of subscribers at end, otherwise lithographed throughout, title with vignette illustration, list of contents on four small slips mounted on a single leaf, introduction leaf, 40 HAND-COLOURED PLATES each with facing explanatory page of text, all by Nimmo. (Without titles to second, third and fourth parts, light spotting to plates 8 and 34.) Contemporary blue calf, elaborately tooled in gilt and blind (scuffed, upper joint weak and slightly split). Provenance: Adam Gordon (bookplate).

VERY RARE (111 subscribers are listed), originally issued in four parts, each with ten plates and accompanying text. It is not clear whether or not titles are required for every part.
