of classic shield form with flared top, tapered waist and slightly flared body, the front, decorated with red and black formline depicting stylized avian motifs, raised T-shaped mid rib and black painted ribs at bottom, the reverse, inscribed, "Presented by John Beatty, Hydaberg, Alaska," and "Stanford Museum Palo Alto - Ca 8624"
