BRIAN EPSTEIN TELEGRAM AND SID BERNSTEIN COMPILED SCRAPBOOK
A telegram dated April 21, 1965 that the Beatles' manager Brian Epstein sent to Sid "Burnstein" which reads Thanks for cable please keep us informed will consider repeat consider second show end May regards Brain Epstein. This piece has significance as it laid the groundwork for The Beatles' first appearance at their now historic Shea Stadium concert on August 15, 1965. Also included is a scrapbook compiled by Sid Bernstein filled with magazine articles, newspaper clippings, concert tickets, programs and handbills relating to the many concerts he promoted for performers such as Joan Baez, James Brown, Judy Garland and Grand Funk among others. A signed letter of provenance from Sid Bernstein accompanies this lot as well.
