GLORIA SWANSON ART DECO-STYLE POWDER COMPACT
A small rectangular-shaped compact with a gold and black Art Deco-style design on the front that silent screen siren Gloria Swanson personally gave to legendary New York City radio and television host, Joe Franklin, in the 1970s. With the original powder puff intact and traces of the actual powder still evident, this great vintage piece is accompanied by a letter of authenticity handwritten by the consignor, Mr. Franklin himself, which reads in part I mentioned how I'd adore adding any item of hers to my celebrity memorabilia archive...she opened her handbag and complied.
