A beautiful sterling silver-plated compact with the initials EL engraved on the front that obscuritan icon Elsa Lanchester personally gave to legendary New York City radio and television host, Joe Franklin. With the original powder puff still intact and the hallmark stamped Vanudier "Maco" Industria Argentina 900 on the inside lid, this quality piece comes with a letter of authenticity handwritten by the consignor, Mr. Franklin himself, which reads in part I told Miss Lanchester that I'd recently acquired personal pieces from Betty Hutton and Gloria Grahame, and that anything from her pocketbook would thrill me. She presented me with this initialed compact.
