Painted with a central medallion enclosing two ho-o-birds perched on a rock amidst flowering peony and chrysanthemum, the octafoil rim decorated with kiku-heads and karakusa, seal mark to the reverse; and a bowl painted to the sides with a continuous outdoor scene with a servant offering a goose to his master, the inner central roundel with the wise man overlooking the moonlit lake, two rim cracks
