A Dutch Colonial tortoise-shell silver-mounted sirih-casket with contents
Apparently unmarked, former Dutch East Indies, late 18th/19th Century
Of rectangular form, on four silver shaped feet, the corners of the box and cover fitted with floral silver mounts, simulated lockplate, shaped handles, the hinged cover with shaped oval floral plague and six flowerhead nails, containing two globular silver floral boxes with silver-gilt top; two small silver bowls and a chalk container with spatula
