Two bibles with gold and silver clasps
Gold clasp apparently unmarked, possibly The Netherlands, late 19th Century; the small bible of Amsterdam with German text, mid 17th Century
The larger, with black velvet cover and gilt page ends, with two clasps of rose gilt metal in a pierced scroll pattern with applied foliate motifs, the smaller, with painted parchment binding with gilt page ends, held with a silver clasp cast with scrolls and stylised flowers, inscribed underneath the clasp arm with initials ACS
