Maker's mark of Jippe Klases Smedema, Dokum, 1791; also struck with Dutch duty mark for after 1853
Oval, on spreading oval pedestal foot, reppoussé and chased with beaded bands, the slightly domed foot chased with scrolls and flowers, the bowl with a band of scrolls, flowers, diaperwork, birds, and fruit, the two handles cast and pierced with masks with feather headdress flanked by two children, amid feathers and scrolls
