A FINE SIVLER PARCEL-GILT SPICE TOWER
Marked 12, probably Ukraine, mid 19th Century
Set on a square open base with four paw feet, a reeded wirework stem with spherical knob, the square spice section pierced and engraved with double headed eagle, stag, lion and scrolled foliage, fitted with a hinged door with lock, closing on a key, hung with a gilt bell inside, the tapering square spire engraved with foliate ornament and trelliswork panels, surmounted by a ball and shaped pennant finial
