A GEORGE III BRASS AND STEEL BASKET GRATE
The arched rectangular cast-iron backplate above a slatted grate with serpentine bowed front with three bars above a pierced frieze of scrolling foliage intertwined with birds and serpents centred by a crown, flanked by gadrooned finials and further flanked by segmental wings with pierced Royal Arms, with turned columns surmounted by urn finials, on square pedestals and four columns, on a square base with shaped bracket feet, the back and inner finials possibly replaced
30¼ in. (77 cm.) high; 33½ in. (85 cm.) wide; 14½ in. (37 cm.) deep
