A CHINESE-EXPORT BLACK AND TWO-TONE GILT-LACQUER DRESSING-MIRROR
Late 18th Century
En suite with the previous lot, the oval plate with floral-decorated edge between shaped supports, above a serpentine base with two long drawers, on bracket feet, with ten lacquered boxes with cypher 'DC', two large boxes and four small trays
34 in. (86.5 cm.) high; 21¼ in. (54 cm.) wide; 11¼ in. (28.5 cm.) deep
Provenance
Probably bought by Sir Charles William Boughton-Rouse, 9th Baronet of Lawford and 1st Baronet of Rouse Lench (d.1808), Downton Hall, Shropshire and by descent with the house to the present owner.
