A walnut oyster-veneered, gilt-heightened and inlaid centre or writing table, late 19th century
In the William and Mary style, the rectangular crossbanded top geometrically inlaid and veneered with radiating interlaced designs within a foliate and strapwork carved edge, containing a frieze drawer, on scroll legs headed with female masks and cushions with rosette ornament, joined by ogee flattened stretcher below with flame and foliate urn finial terminating in scroll feet.
