A Continental cream japanned and gilt chinoiserie decorated bureau, late 18th/early 19th century
Probably Dutch, the sloping fall with book ledge decorated with figures in landscapes, enclosing a scarlet decorated graduated interior, with compartment central enclosed cupboard and well with a slide, the bombe front containing three long drawers with chioniserie ornament between projecting canted angles with undulating apron
