"Last drunk and fully enjoyed as opposed to merely tasted, 29 April 1997. Medium deep black violet color, solid to rim. Fabulously rich, sweet nose, with aromas of a decadently rich stew of plums, mangos, and brown-strawberry soup. On the palate, superb sweet fruit masks considerable tannins of the "old school" which power to the back of the palate; dry though sweet merlot aromas rise through a very long, sweet, and tannic finish. Outstanding plus." FH
