QUILCEDA CREEK
Alexander Golitzen, nephew of Beaulieu Vineyard famed André Tchelistcheff, released his first vintage of Cabernet Sauvignon in 1979. Over the years, his hobby became his full-time passion and he now has assistance from his son, Paul, and his son-in-law, Marv Crum who handle the day-to-day operations of the winery. The grapes for Quilceda Creek Cabernet are grown in the great Columbia Valley vineyards of Kiona, Klipsun, Ciel du Cheval and Mercer Ranch. In 1997, Alexander added grapes from the Champoux vineyard to his blend which has given further finesse and depth.
Quilceda Creek Vintners Cabernet Sauvignon
Quilceda Creek's "Cabernet Sauvignons are the most complex and ageworthy wines I have encountered from Washington State, often reminiscent of those from Château Margaux. They combine power with elegance, depth with finesse, and concentration with focus." Robert Parker, The Wine Buyer's Guide, Fifth Edition, 1999
