SILENI ESTATES
Sileni Estates, is named after the Sileni who was featured in Roman mythology as vintage deities, or demigods, associated with Bacchus the God of Wine. The vineyards and winery are based in Hastings, Hawkes Bay on the east coast of the North Island of New Zealand, an area of the country renowned for its agricultural excellence. 1200 magnums of the 1998 Artist Series were made, 156 of those for the U.S. market.

Hawke's Bay
"The 1998 vintage of this Hawke's Bay red looked brillant when I tasted it prior to bottling. The colour is dark and noble; the bouquet beautifully flagrant, spicy and rich; the palate superbly concentrated, with a wealth of warm cassis, plum and spice flavour, soft acidity and buried tannins.
