THREE NEAR EASTERN STONE CYLINDER SEALS
Circa 3000-1100 B.C.
Including a Syrian seal, circa 1400-1100 B.C., with a seated deity holding an object in each hand topped with a bird, together with two goats in lively poses; an Akkadian seal, circa 2334-2193 B.C., with a seated god in a long flounced robe holding rope to a "winged gate" on the back of a recumbent bull, a kneeling attendant to the left holding the other end of the rope, a lunar crescent above; and a Syrian seal, circa 3000-2700 B.C., with loop bore perforation at the top, engraved with guilloche between upper and lower bands, with V-shaped markings between the spaces
