and a cover with flowerhead finial, the entwined spirally-moulded handle sprigged with flowersprays, painted in iron-red and black with a generous spray of flowers and lesser sprigs, between gadrooned bands, below a band of beading, circa 1775 (hairline crack base of one side of the teapot, some discolouration to spout, small chip to the the tip of spout, the cover with chip to rim and finial) -- 22cm. long
