engraving with drypoint, early 1470s, a strong impression, watermark Initial P (?), trimmed about 15mm. into the subject at the left and right, thereby losing some of the hatched background, trimmed very slightly into the subject at the top and bottom, the usual central vertical crease split, touched-in in places with pen and black ink, several further tears and losses, backed, S. 284 x 428mm.; The Descent into Limbo (B. 5; H. 9, R.A. cat no. 67) attributed to A. Mantegna, engraving, late 1460s, watermark small Circle, lacking the upper half of subject; and Roman Senators, from the Triumph of Caesar (B. 11; H. 16, R.A. cat. no. 126) by the Premier Engraver after A.
