A GREEK ROCK CRYSTAL FLASK
Hellenistic Period, Circa 3rd-2nd Century B.C.
The thin-walled piriform vessel with square shoulders, insect-like wings on the sides, a cylindrical neck and a rounded, rectangular rim; together with a gold chain which joins to the suspension loop of an arching wire that grips the rim, possibly original, and a gold and garnet stopper composed of Roman elements, probably added later
