woven with a third rank Leopard above a sea-wave border, the sky strewn with bats and clouds against a black ground woven with scrolling gilt vines--28.5cm x 29cm; a rear civil rank badge of silk kesi woven with the fifth rank Silver Pheasant against a similar gilt lotus-scroll ground--29cm x 29.5cm, 19th century; a front military rank badge of black satin, embroidered in metal threads and silks with a second rank lion in a sky of scrolling clouds, (un-cut), Reform Period--29cm x 31cm; a collar of white satin embroidered with figures in sailing boats; and a collection of embroidered sleevebands, borders and fragments
