A coverlet of ivory silk satin,
richly embroidered in brightly coloured floss silks with couched gilt thread, with a central roundel composed of two phoenixes with outstretched wings around a lotus flower, the field with a variety of flowers and leaves on scrolling stems, with birds and butterflies and a qilin to each corner, the borders with exotic blooms on a meandering vine, 18th century, Canton for export--228cm x 266cm, (unlined)
