Great Britain covers, 1860's, a gorgeous group of 185 covers with various surface printed frankings (mostly 1p Reds, 2p Blues and various 4p), some multiple frankings, covers mostly from London's mercantile dealers and partly related to CSA Blockade business transactions, but with the original letter contents since removed, a nice variety of markings, rates and pmks., extraordinarily fresh and crisp, nearly as fresh as the day they were filed away, believed to be unchecked for either varieties or better plate nos., nearly all are fine-very fine, most are very fine, a lot worthy of very careful examination, owner's approximate Gibbons was £18,000
