PROBABLY ENGLISH, FIRST HALF OF 18TH CENTURY
Slightly curved, double-fullered blade bearing scroll decorations and inscriptions on both sides (largely indiscernible), iron D-guard and shell form langet, staghorn grip, 241/8 in. blade. The present lot was found in chest believed to have been owned by Rhode Island pirate Thomas Tew (see lot 156).
