Lot Essay

Comparable in size, handling and technique to two drawings of Saint Romuald with the Madonna and Child in Stockholm and Saint James the Major and a Ermit with the Madonna and Child in Vienna, E. Hermann-Atorino, Francesco Brizio, Worms, 1989, nos. Z15 and Z28, figs. 62 and 64. The first is related to a painting dated 1610-4.
