A study for the figure of God the Father in the upper part of Palma Giovane's altarpiece of the Meeting of Joachim and Anna in San Geremia, Venice (fig. 1). Stefania Mason Rinaldi has kindly confirmed the attribution of the drawing in a letter dated 30 January 1991, on the basis of a photograph, and dates the painting to 1615-18.
