An English delft blue-dash Adam and Eve charger
Circa 1720, probably Bristol
The centre painted in blue and manganese with the ill-fated couple flanked by blue-sponged trees, each holding a green leaf in one hand, between them a tree with manganese trunk, blue-sponged foliage and yellow and ochre fruit, a blue serpent with forked tail curled in the branches offering Eve a fruit, within a blue-dash rim (some minor flaking to rim)
13 1/4 in. (33.7 cm.) diam.
