Two Proskau parrot-jugs and covers
Circa 1765
Modelled as parrots perched on branches, their necks forming spouts and the covers formed as the upper part of their heads, the branches extending up to their shoulders to form handles, each with spiralling tendrils with fruit terminals at the front, painted in grand and petit feu colours with turquoise, yellow and blue plumage, the wings with blue markings, the ochre beaks and clawed feet with dark-brown markings (slight grazing to extremities, lower terminal of one handle cracked and handle with three small chips to tendrils, other parrot with restored beak)
