A Meissen (Marcolini) lobster-tureen and three covers
Circa 1790, the interior with blue crossed swords and star mark two blue / marks
Naturally modelled and coloured with a red shell, its mouth-parts, legs and tip of its tail with black markings, its tail curled beneath its body, the top of its body and abdomen forming a cover with foliage finial and terminals, its large claws each with a small compartment, the covers with applied foliage finials and terminals (one leg broken through in two places and restuck, one claw with two minute chips, the other with minute chip, minute chipping to mouth-parts, chipping to rim of cover, smaller covers with finials lacking, one with slight chipping to rim)
