Two Meissen models of seated pug-dogs Circa 1745
Modelled by J.J. Kändler to the left and right, their incised pale-brown coats with dark-brown markings and with white patches to their chests, their necks with gilt-edged puce colars with gilt bells tied with large turquoise bows at the back, each seated on its haunches, the bitch suckling a puppy, on white shaped oval mound bases applied with coloured flowers and foliage (chipping and restoration to bows, restoration to tails, chipping to flowers and foliage, he with firing crack to base and to right hind-leg, minute chip to muzzle, she broken through back, base and front paws and restored, restoration to left ear)
