Circa 1540
Painted with Europa riding Jupiter in the form of a white bull by a shore with a fortified city and mountains in the distance, her attendants to her left with flowers and garlands, a shepherd to the right playing the flute by his cattle and a cave, within a blue line and ochre rim, the underside with concentric ochre bands, the centre inscribed De vropa in blue (restored rim chip at 12 and 6 o'clock, small rim chip at 10 and 8 o'clock, crack from rim to centre at 1, 6 and 9 o'clock)
10¾ in. (27.2 cm.) diam.
