A Continental white model of a recumbent lion Circa 1740-45, perhaps Hewelcke, incised V to edge of base
Boldly modelled to the left, his head turned and with incised eyes and muzzle, with shaggy mane, his tail arched over his right flank and back on a shaped oval mound base (slight chip to mane at top of head, minute chipping to footrim)
