Lot Essay

A large group of drawings by Claude Audran II is at the Nationalmuseum, Stockholm. They were acquired along with the studio drawings of Audran's nephew at the latter's death in 1734 by Carl Johan Cronstedt, P. Bjurström, French Drawings, Sixteenth and Seventeenth Centuries, Stockholm, 1976, nos. 90-112, illustrated.
